The second book in the series, The Rebel of the Sands, continues Amani’s story.   She has joined the rebellion to bring down the Sultan who killed his own father for the throne. Amani accidentally infiltrates the Sultan’s palace. She is determined to spy on the Sultan from the inside and bring him to justice for all of his bloodthirsty crimes.  Distractingly she is still a prisoner under the constant supervision of guards.   There she learns secrets that should never of been unearthed.  Questions arise as to whether her cause is true.  But will she survive the trials of the palace?
